Maybelline’s Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser!

Okay, so I was very excited to get my hands on this product since it was just recently released into the US, and I had to go to three different Walgreens to find it, and luckily enough there were only two left so I was able to get it. The price was pretty decent ($6.99) Also, apparently this is a dupe of Benefits’s The POREfessional’s primer. But, to be honest I haven’t used it so I’m not able to compare the two at the moment.

Anyway, the packaging is cute, it’s a small tube in a cute mint-green color and the product is actually translucent, and you only need like a pea-sized amount to cover your whole face. you can wear it alone or under your makeup :)

My first impression of the product, was that I was really surprised, in a good way. My skin looked super smooth and flawless, and my pores looked diminished. Especially on my cheeks, where I tend to have a little bit more visible pores. It just left my skin looking smooth and clean.

So, I wore it under my make up today, and recently I’ve been using CoverGirl’s Aqua Smoothers foundation. My makeup looked super flawless and if anything it looked natural, and sorta dewy- which I love. it didn’t leave my makeup looking cakey or heavy.

Also, typically by the end of the day my makeup starts to slide off on my nose and t-zone area, kinda sink into my pores, and just looks like a total mess and really gross. But with this stuff it helped it stay in place and my makeup still hasn’t slid off. (I did my makeup at 8 this morning and it’s now 9:30 where I live).

Now some things about this product is that it is silicone based, so if you aren’t a fan of silicone based primers I wouldn’t suggest this. This product is non-comodgenic meaning it doesn’t break you out, being someone who has sensitive skin and I usually avoid Maybelline’s face products because I have bad luck with them, I was actually shocked because it hasn’t irritated or broken it out yet. So I do trust this product, but at the same time everyone’s skin is different, so I don’t want to promise everyone anything. This is just my experience with the product, and I’ve also heard other good reviews too about the product, but like I said everyone is different and their skin and bodies react differently to products.

If you’re looking for a nice face primer that diminishes the appearance of your pores and smooths out your skin, I highly suggest this. It’s a great product for the inexpensive price and in my humble opinion it’s the best drugstore primer I’ve use. It leaves your skin looking naturally flawless all day, and helps your makeup stay in place. I am completely happy with this purchase :)

My overall rating is 10/10
